I am a PhD student at the Selva Lab focusing on how biological interactions shape the composition and dynamics of forests. My passion for nature arose from field work experience in forests and mangroves when I studied in Xiamen University. After obtaining bachelor's degree there, I started my master's research at Sun Yat-sen University, where I explored how biodiversity of forests was maintained by intransitive competition (cyclic competition like rock-paper-scissors game) using forest census data. Now, as a PhD student, I aim to figure out how species interactions mediate the effect of global change on forest biodiversity using both experiment and census data so that we can better understand what forests will be like in the future.
In my free time, you can find me wandering through every corner of this city, exploring and photographing its beautiful scenery.
